Education & Research
Adventist HealthCare has an ongoing commitment to the education and training of healthcare professionals. Sydney Adventist Hospital has trained nurses since it opened in 1903 and helped shaped nursing culture in Australia by being the first hospital in the country to train male nurses. We continue our commitment to training the health workforce of the future through our ongoing collaboration with Avondale University and partnership with the Australian National University (ANU).
Since 1903 we have been continually innovating and research is integral to our commitment to providing remarkable care. Adventist HealthCare drives research through our Research Office, Clinical Trials Unit, Australasian Research Institute and research grants funded by our San Foundation.
