Life changing work experience

An Indigenous student from the remote South Australian mining town of Roxby Downs has experienced what a career as a doctor might be like following work experience hosted by the San and the onsite Clinical School of The University of Sydney.

Year 11 student Jasmyn Lloyd had previously been to the San as part of the Wingara Indigenous Student program and asked to return as part of her ambition for a career in medicine.

Jasmyn accompanied senior doctors during ward rounds, tried hands on clinical skills including life support and suturing, and learned about radiology.
